As with most new gadgets now on the market we always expect a lot, and the new Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman is no exception. This latest gadget from Sony doesn’t let us down either. With a 3 inch touch screen that is scratch resistant it is a pretty sharp piece of technology. Featuring a Karaoke, drag and drop feature for file transfer, Zappin, Wi Fi connect and much more.

With the touch screen interface it makes things a breeze to use whether your listening to music or browsing your favorite online media channels. Probably the most important part on this piece is the Wi Fi technology which means if your waiting at the airport or taking a break in your local cyber cafe you can be connected.

The Zapping feature allows you to hit the key and select up to 15 chorus tunes, when you hear the one you want just hit the Zappin button and it will play that song from the beginning. Another great feature is the google talk, with this you can instant message your friends and even chat PC to PC for free. There is a typical 3.5 mm jack for audio so you can use your favorite head phones too. It even has a built in FM radio.

Probably for many, especially teenagers, there is the Karaoke feature which is pretty cool, you just have to hit the Karaoke button in the corner to get the Karaoke view and sing your song to the lyrics on the screen. This product also has what is known as music recognition, meaning just recording four or five seconds of music, the music recognition will give you the title of the song, the artist and the album name if there is one.

You can also get face book directly on your phone which is great for file sharing, uploading your pictures and messaging your friends. It also has a built in email client for sending and receiving emails. Supports up to 32 GB of memory via micro cards and even has USB connectivity. With built in camera as well there doesn’t appear to be a reason not to own one of these great toys.
